I work in a software engineer/IT position at a cabinet shop. I also do a little bit of work in an infuriating program called Cabinet Vision, but its kind of the best at what it does.
After graduating from university in software engineering during a time where everyone was having trouble finding a job, I was lucky enough to find a position at the company I already worked at, just designing and creating software instead of breathing in saw dust all day.
I’ve been having a blast working on some applications and services to improve the manufacturing process at my job. I never thought I’d be working on improving/automating manufacturing processes through software, much less that I’d enjoy it, but I’ve been enjoying every aspect of what I’ve been doing.
